What’s on our 2020 Travel Wishlist?
Happy New Year! We hope you have had a wonderful Christmas and New Year – we certainly have. We have already shared with you our favourite trips of 2019 and our travel resolutions for 2020. But where will we be going in 2020? Well, we haven’t planned all of our trips yet this year. However, here are five trips that are definitely on our 2020 travel wishlist.
This trip is *almost* in the diary. Each year we go away at the end of February or early March to celebrate both Valentine’s Day and our anniversary. Last year we ended up in Paris and had a wonderful time exploring one of Europe’s most romantic cities. This year we are travelling to Porto. We have never been before but we loved our trip to Lisbon and have heard so many wonderful things about Portugal’s second city.
2. Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Skye
We have been invited to spend a week in the Scottish Highlands with my family this summer and can’t wait to explore this part of the UK. My family have hired a cottage with enough space for all of us in a small village near the Isle of Skye. I have never ventured this far north and can’t wait for a wonderful holiday filled with beautiful walks and hopefully not too much rain.
Tenby has been on our travel wish list for a long time and we really wanted to visit last year as part of our tour of the British seaside. Sadly we could not fit any more trips in to what was already an action packed 2019. This year we are determined to finally visit this beautiful part of the Welsh coast after lots of recommendations from friends and family.
I grew up in the Yorkshire Dales and it is one of my favourite parts of the UK. It is a beautiful part of the country to explore and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Vicky’s Mum has never ventured up to Yorkshire and it is about time to put that right. We are looking forward to some lovely walks in the countryside and proper pub lunches!
Every year we try and go away for our birthdays. We will probably be in Wales for Vicky’s birthday in the summer but we haven’t yet decided what to do for my birthday in November. Neither of us have been to Scandinavia and I would love to go to Copenhagen. We would love to enjoy some of the famous Danish hygge and Copenhagen fine dining.
